We have a facebook page too.

This page

This page is the "About us" page and it is a wiki page. Our home page is https://brunswicklabor.org.au/, which is outside of the wiki. (It is a static page, based on a Wordpress website, and was copied of the website of a branch of a political party unrelated to us. We hope you don't mind, Edinburgh West Scottish Nationals.)

History

Brunswick Labor can trace its history to the days of the Progressive Political League (formed in 1891). Our area has been represented by Labor continuously since 1904, and has included Labor luminaries like Frank Anstey, Maurice Blackburn, Tom Roper and Bob Hawke. A while ago Brunswick Labor was represented in parliament by Kelvin Thomson (Federal) and Jane Garrett (State). Now it is Peter Khalil in Canberra and we have temporarily lent the state seat to the Greens.

How to use this site

The page you are looking at is a wiki page, like Wikipedia; most of this site consists of wiki pages and most pages require logging in with a password to get access. Members and friends of the branch should ask for a personal account by email (robert.durkacz@gmail.com), or consult the latest minutes for a generic password.

How to log in. The wiki will take you to a log-in page when log-in is necessary. You must then supply a username and password. There is a generic username that any member may use; it is 'Member'. The password for Member is given in the regular meeting minutes and changes with each issue.
