Paul Keating on USA-Australia-China

Paul Keating gave a speech about Australia's interesting position in the "deep blue sea" between the U.S. and China. Keating was a foreign-policy-heavy prime minister who strove to build relationships within Asia. His views on the U.S-Australia-China relationship must be relevant to what our current leaders must be thinking about. The article in the Guardian appears to be the full text though some confusion on their side is evident.

There is a discussion page with some comments.
